Volunteer

Come build a cobhouse with us and actually disconnect for a while. If you’re tired of the city and want to do something real with your hands, this is for you. We’re running a volunteer programme where you help build a cobhouse, mixing mud, straw, and water the old-fashioned way, while staying right in the middle of Maasai land. You don’t need any building experience. Most people who join us have never touched cob before. You’ll learn as you go, working alongside people who’ve been doing this for generations, and by the end you’ll actually understand how a house made from earth comes together. But it’s not all work. Once the day’s building is done, you’ve got free time to explore. You can go on walking tours through the bush, spend time with the Maasai community and learn about how they actually live (not the tourist version), and check out the local markets, which are honestly worth a trip on their own. And when it’s time to eat, you haven’t lived until you’ve had proper nyama choma cooked right there over an open fire. Basically, if you want a break or to get away from city life and leave with a new skill, some good stories, and a much slower heartbeat, this is that kind of trip.
